BWMCA is a not-for-profit community organisation that aims to build a vibrant Buderim Community and encourage service to commemorate sacrifice. BWMCA organises and conducts community events on important occasions such as Australia Day, Anzac Day and Remembrance Day and the annual Carols on Buderim in December. The Friends Of Buderim Sub-Committee provides catering for events and other functions and BWMCA also operates the Community Information Centre in the Old Post Office in the main street of Buderim where Welcome To Buderim afternoon teas are conducted. BWMCA owns and manages a number of heritage community facilities including the Buderim War Memorial Hall [the main entertainment and function centre venue on Buderim], the Old Post Office, Pioneer Cottage and Sybil Vies Cottage.
BWMCA is comprised totally of volunteers – there are no paid officers or committee members. BWMCA always needs more helpers and supporters.
