Calling all lovers of art and gardens! The Buderim Craft Cottage is holding its annual Sculptured Garden Exhibition from October 8 to 16, 9.00am -4.00pm.
This year, the Sculptured Garden Exhibition will explore the theme of Rhythms, capturing the dynamism of rhythm via the mediums of ceramics, glass, metal and wood. As exhibition’s Coordinator Pam Thomas explains, “Although most people only associate rhythm with music, our ceramic artists will be exploring rhythms through 3 dimensional mediums.” On showcase this year will be art and functional pottery designed for gardens and interiors that will offer thought provoking interpretations of this theme.
The Buderim Craft Cottage’s Sculptured Garden Exhibition is an annual event that gives its members a platform to showcase their work. Visitors are not only welcomed to view the exhibition but can also purchase art and pottery from the gallery.
Morning tea and afternoon tea will be available in the covered courtyard on both weekends, overlooking the newly installed Anzac Mural and garden, proudly created by the ceramic artists of the Buderim Craft Cottage. Visitors are also welcome to explore the Craft Cottage grounds where other sculptures and murals are permanently on display.
On the second weekend of the exhibition, visitors can also incorporate into their visit the Buderim Garden Festival: a weekend-long programme, including spring flower show, plant markets and a number of open gardens.
