Dear Friend of Oriana
This is a seminal year for Oriana. The senior and Youth Choir both have new conductors; we are about to make a new recording; and in September we embark on our Central European tour.
You are invited to come along to the Lake Kawana Community Centre on Sunday 14th August to enjoy Cathedral Dreaming, a concert which will feature both choirs and showcase the Sunshine Coast Oriana Choir’s Central European repertoire.
You will hear exquisite sacred music, accompanied and acapella, which we will be performing in some of Central Europe’s most beautiful cathedrals and concert halls.
Attached you will find our concert poster with all the booking details. This link will take you to the Lake Kawana Community Centre booking page.
We do hope to see you there.
Warm regards

Buderim Garden Club is celebrating its 70th birthday this year, and to commemorate the year, the Club decided to make a gift of $10,000 to the Friends of Maroochy Regional Bushland Botanic Gardens who are celebrating their 20th birthday. The Garden Club has been a donor to the Botanic Gardens since their inception and members feel a close bond with these gardens right on Buderim’s doorstep. The cheque was presented to Friends of MRBBG Secretary Bob Ducrou at the May meeting of the Garden Club by Club President Teddy Gove in the presence of over 100 Garden Club members. In thanking the Garden Club for their generous donation, Mr Ducrou said that the money would be used for the further development of the Whip Bird Walk which is a major attraction for children visiting the gardens. Mr Ducrou told the meeting that, when the many man-hours of the Friends’ volunteers were taken into account, the value of the donation would be multiplied many times over.
